Oats and banana mer-cookies

Banana and Oat Mer-cookies

Today we will prepare oats and banana mer-cookies.

Apart from making a healthy snack to take to the office or to the park, you will spend a funny time with the littles of the house making them.

So, let´s start.

What do you need to make the mer-cookies?

  • 2 or 3 bananas
  • 75 grams of oats
  • 1 oil spoon or butter
  • 2 teaspoon of carob tree or cacao (optional)

1) Cut the banana in small slices and put them into a bowl.

2) Grind the banana with a fork to do a thick paste. Tip: If the bananas are ripe, the paste will be softer.

3) Add the oats little by little and mix them with the banana paste.

4) Now it´s time to add the carob tree or cacao to the mixture. This is optional, the mer-cookies will be also tasty without it.

5) Pour a bit of oil or butter in the baking tray to make sure the mer-cookies can be taken off once baked in the oven.

6) Take the paste and make small balls with it, you can use mermaid molds to give mermaid shapes to the cookies. And them, put the siren tails in the baking tray.

7) Bake the oats and banana cookies during 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 ºC / 392ºF

8) Once baked remove the mer-cookies from the baking tray and cool them

9) Enjoy your oats and banana mer-cookies!
